The Last of Us: The Beginning of a New Generation or The Last of its Kind?

I have been patiently waiting for The Last of Us ever since it was announced back in 2011 at the VGA’s. Now, after completing it, was it worth the hype or even the money?

The game emotionally attracts the player instantly, as the player will find themselves personally attached to the main character. This is due in part to the cinematic and interactive feel to the game. You feel as though you are really there and feeling what they are feeling. A fun and well-paced intro gives us an idea of what is in store for the rest of the story. The next scene leaves us with Joel, twenty years after the outbreak. His hardship is apparent with his tattered clothes and rugged appearance. The game instantly throws you into the life of a man who will do just about anything to survive.
